A caring husband planted 1000 flowers to help his poor wife overcome depression
Mr. and Mrs. Kuroki have recently become the symbol of true love and loyalty in Japan. The spouses have lived together for many years, but their feelings towards each other are becoming stronger and stronger. Even the most challenging and difficult experiences failed to break them.
Back in 1957, the spouses decided to move to a farm in the village of Shintomi where they lived their whole lives and raised their children.
Mr. and Mrs. Kuroki had a cherished dream – to travel around the world when they got old, but they were obliged to cancel their plans as the woman got seriously sick.
Mrs. Kuroki almost lost her eyesight because of diabetes which made her depressed and devastated. The poor woman even refused to go outside and interact with others anymore.
So in order to help his beloved spouse overcome depression, Mr. Kuroki determined to plant her wife’s favorite flowers. Within a couple of seasons, the miraculous garden was full of fragrant and admirable flowers.
Fortunately, his efforts eventually paid off. Mrs. Kuroki started to frequently go outside and even communicate with their neighbors. She simply adored the beautiful flowers her caring husband had planted.
In Shintomi, this exemplary couple is considered to be the symbol of true and unconditional love. They even started to invite tourists to their garden full of 1000s of flowers.
