Lisa’s housekeeper found her unresponsive in her bedroom before her ex-husband, Danny Keough, began performing CPR. It was reported that Danny continued to perform CPR until EMTs arrived.

Shortly after Lisa arrived at the hospital, her mother did, too, so she could be with her daughter. Lisa was administered epinephrine on the scene to help her regain consciousness, but she was in full cardiac arrest.

Before she was transported to the hospital, first responders reported that they were able to find a pulse. First responders arrived at Lisa’s home at 10:43 a.m., and Lisa was rushed to the hospital at 11:17 a.m.

Lisa’s mother, Priscilla, was confident that her daughter was receiving the best care available and asked that fans keep Lisa in their prayers. She went on to say:

“We feel the prayers from around the world and ask for privacy at this time.”

Two days before, Lisa attended the Golden Globes in honor of the film “Elvis.” She was seen there with Priscilla and got teary-eyed when Austin Butler, who played Elvis in the movie, made his acceptance speech

Lisa Found Peace Again with Her Ex After They Lost Their Son
In July 2020, Lisa and her ex-husband, Danny, suffered a tragic loss when their son committed suicide at 27. The couple came back together to lean on one another while mourning their son.

Eight months after the pair lost their beloved son, Danny moved in with Lisa Marie and her daughters. A source talked about the move, saying:

“Danny has moved a lot in the past but came back to be by Lisa’s side immediately when they were left devastated by Ben’s death; he was staying with her at the Beverley Hills Hotel.”

The pair then moved into a new home in Calabasas, and it was said that while Lisa struggled to come to terms with her son’s loss, Danny had been an excellent support system for her.

In the months following their son’s death, the pair were rarely seen leaving their Calabasas home; although it was confirmed that they were not romantically involved, they spent much of their time together helping one another through their grief. Lisa said she knew she could be connected to Danny for the rest of her life.

Fans often remarked that Lisa’s son looked eerily similar to his grandfather, Elvis. Sources close to Lisa said her son was the love of her life, and when he passed away, she was “inconsolable” but trying to remain strong for her surviving daughters.

Riley: Lisa’s First Child
Lisa and Danny are the parents of two children, their late son, Benjamin, and Benjamin’s older sister, Danielle Riley. The young woman goes by her second name and has said she grew up being allowed by her parents and grandparents to be her own person.

Riley admitted she was grateful that she wasn’t made to live in her legendary grandfather’s shadow and was instead allowed to be whoever she wanted to be and pave her own way in life. However, she knew the impact her grandfather made on the world.

After her brother’s death, Riley openly mourned him and often posts about him on social media, saying how much she loves and misses him, even all these years later. She admitted that in the months following his death, she couldn’t get out of bed.
