The duo went out for dinner at Keen’s Steakhouse in New York City on November 15, 2022. She penned a lengthy post saying they discussed parenthood and desired to make changes for their kids’ sake.

“I’ve been sitting across the table from him for almost 18 years. 14 years ago, we honeymooned in NYC, and tonight we talked about parenting and remembered who we used to be when we came to this city. It feels so long ago, far away. But I like him still. And love him. Feeling lucky to still get butterflies,” Erin captioned the post.

Ben commented in the comments section and joked that he could now afford steak dinner more than ten years later. Still, he noted that he would selflessly share a piece with his beautiful wife and kids.

In September 2018, Erin gushed about her spouse alongside a snapshot of the pair on the porch. Ben was pictured down on his knee as he was proposing. His wife revealed he had put aside money for years to purchase an engagement ring – the woodworker popped the question with a diamond band at Square Books.

The lovebirds celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary in November 2020 with sweet tributes on Instagram. Ben wrote that he and his wife had said their ‘I do’s on the day they wed and have continued to state it ever since, adding they would do it in the future:

“Being @erinapier’s husband is the only thing I’m really great at. I have to work at everything else.”

Meanwhile, the mother of his kids shared a montage of videos commemorating their special day on IGTV from their wedding clip. The four-minute video highlighted the memorable moments from the pair’s big day and had songs like “By Your Side” by Blue Mountain” and “Lloyd, I’m Ready to be Heartbroken” by Camera Obscura playing in the background.

Ben and Erin married on November 22, 2008, and have remained madly in love since then. He reportedly still pens love notes for his spouse every morning.

When Erin celebrated her 37th birthday on August 30, 2022, her husband surprised her with thoughtful “gifts of time.” He had an itinerary mapped out for her birthday week, which stipulated activities she would partake in.

The said activities included a lunch date with her girlfriends, quality time with him and their kids, a movie date with her mom, and a lunch date with him. The delighted Erin wrote on her Instagram that although her spouse may not be flawless, “he is completely perfect for me.”

In August 2021, Ben wished Erin a happy birthday on social media with a gallery of images, including one from their wedding day. He referenced all the titles she held in their life together and deemed her “my favorite cover girl.”

Erin and Ben have reached a point where they need to rethink some things. They are a power couple with multiple business ventures and are occupied with their hectic schedules.

The two are now parents to daughters, Helen and Mae, and have hinted that they may take a break from their busy lives and dedicate their time to their kids. The mother of two shared she and her husband are in the best period of their life together and want to keep it that way.

The TV personalities decided to take a hiatus from filming their reality shows to focus on raising their brood. Ben and Erin want their daughters to be just kids.

Erin & Ben Purchased a New Home in the Countryside
Following the birth of their second child, Mae, in 2021, the happy couple bought a new house. Ben and Erin found a perfect home for their kids to enjoy a normal childhood, such as climbing trees, digging dirt, fishing, and running through the fields.

The doting dad told People that their yard in downtown Laurel suddenly began to feel smaller once Mae was born. Ben and Erin had no private space out front and only had to use their backyard.

Hence, they decided to settle for an old country house in Mississippi. The pair initially wanted to build a new home from the ground up because they each had specific wish lists, but they realized it would cost more.

The on-screen duo recently completed their new abode where they can spend time with their offspring. It is a 4,000-square-foot 1930 Tudor-style home.

The “Home Town Takeover” stars purchased the property in July 2021 and remodeled it for nine months. Ben said the house would now be their “weekend getaway” home.

The property is close to the couple’s businesses: Laurel Mercantile, Scotsman General, and their daughter Helen’s school. The proud dad divulged that his first-born child had “always wanted to be a country girl.”

Inside the Couple’s Tudor-Style Home
Ben and Erin’s old brick Tudor home needed some touches according to their needs, including a functional kitchen and a new laundry room. The interior comprises heart-pine beams, tongue-and-groove paneling, wide plank flooring, and custom millwork.

Ben was particularly impressed with the home they turned into a project because of its history. He revealed all the wood features in the house were cut and milled on the property grounds.

Meanwhile, his wife instantly fell in love with its Tudor design. Erin said she was obsessed with its “British look,” adding the house made her feel as though she was on the other side of the state.

The couple’s living room consists of two contrasting sofas, one blue L-shaped couch, and a brown three-seater. In an interview with Southern Living in November 2022, the author gave a back story about the three-seater couch that once belonged to her mom.

Erin shared she and her husband re-covered the piece of furniture and gave it new feet. Her mother got the sofa in 1999 and gave it to her and Ben, but now that they did a good job refurbishing it, she wants it back.

The couple’s dining room is where they dine for the holidays and have meals for special occasions. It features a mahogany table, a painting, and a piano. Ben and Erin have an all-white cabinet kitchen with wood countertops.

They also have what is historically known as a keeping room – a space adjacent to the kitchen where she keeps the company of her loved ones while preparing their meals. The room features a fireplace, a breakfast table, and armchairs.
