Pamela Anderson has continued to champion the mantra that “less is more,” once again gracing the carpet in a makeup-free look.
The 56-year-old animal rights activist showcased her natural beauty at the 2023 Fashion Awards in London on Monday (December 4).
Draped in an all-white ensemble featuring wide-leg pants, a loose-fit tee, and a cream-colored blazer casually worn over her shoulders, Pamela walked the red carpet with timeless elegance. Completing her chic style, the actress wore some simple silver stud earrings, while her hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, showing off her bare face.
This appearance marks another instance in Pamela’s trend of opting for a makeup-free look, a departure from her earlier signature style characterized by strong and flamboyant black eyeliner. The shift in her approach began earlier this year during fashion weeks, when she went to Pandora’s new Diamond District pop-up in New York City, where she sported some lowkey makeup.
Though, her transformation reached its peak on September 27 during Paris Fashion Week, where Pamela showed off a clean, polished, and makeup-free look. Radiating positive energy, she continued to embrace her new look, continuing the trend the next day at the Isabel Marant Spring/Summer 2024 womenswear fashion collection presentation.
Addressing her evolution in style, Pamela shared insights into her decision to embrace a more natural appearance in contrast to her earlier iconic looks from the 1990s. Reflecting on her past reliance on makeup, she explained to Elle magazine: “I just went along with what people were telling me what to do.”
She further revealed that the transition was influenced by the passing of her former makeup artist Alexis Vogel in 2019 after a battle with breast cancer. Pamela acknowledged Vogel’s impact on her, saying: “She was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup.”
Pamela Anderson, 56 and, continue de fouler les tapis rouges au naturel, sans maquillage ! 👏
Describing her toned-down look as “freeing, and fun, and a little rebellious too,” Pamela had some humorous words to say about the ageing process. She explained: “I think we all start looking a little funny when we get older. And I’m kind of laughing at myself when I look in the mirror. I go, ‘Wow, this is really… what’s happening to me?’ It’s a journey.”
Pamela’s decision to embrace her natural beauty has resonated with admirers who appreciate her for “normalizing ageing” and encouraging other women to be more “confident.”
