Groom from Internet-Famous ‘Wedding of the Century’ Faces Potential Life Sentence

A man named Jacob LaGrone, known for a big and fancy wedding that got famous on social media, might go to jail for a very long time. He is 29 years old and is in trouble for shooting at three police officers in Texas. This happened in March, and now he is facing serious charges.

The police officers from Westworth Village were responding to a report of gunshots, and they say LaGrone shot at them. The charges say he deliberately threatened to hurt the officers and used a gun during the attack.

If he is found guilty, he could be in prison for a very long time, maybe even for the rest of his life. The court offered him a deal for 25 years in prison, but it’s not clear if he will take it.

LaGrone became famous for spending a lot of money on his wedding to Madelaine Brockway. They reportedly spent $59 million on a five-day celebration in Paris, France. The wedding was called “the Wedding of the Century” by many. They had a fancy stay at the Palace of Versailles, lunch at Chanel Haute Couture Suite, a dinner at the Paris Opera house, and even a performance by Maroon 5.

The wedding registry, which is a list of gifts they wanted, included expensive items like figurines for $735.00, a silver tea and coffee service for $2,950.00, and a crystal butterfly house for $12,500.00.

Brockway, the bride, is 27 years old and runs her own business in Fort Worth. Her father owns a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Florida. People who worked on the wedding shared about it on TikTok, saying it was an honor to work with the couple.
