Macaulay Culkin’s Witty Response to the Upcoming ‘Home Alone’ Reboot: A Hilarious Take on the Classic

After news dropped that Disney+ is rebooting Home Alone, Macaulay Culkin just had to react and the way he did it is hilarious!

Mừng sinh nhật, ngôi sao 'Ở nhà một mình' khiến cả Internet già đi

The classic Christmas movie’s star took to social media to show how the grown-up version of his character, Kevin McAllister, would look like today.

As you know, the well-known and beloved ‘90s film is what really brought Culkin, at the time still a child, into the spotlight, and to this day, it’s still his most iconic role.

That being said, it makes sense that people would instantly think of him when hearing about the movie getting rebooted.

When he shared what the updated character would look like today, social media had a blast.

The actor posted a pic of him on the couch with a laptop, just chilling.

He can also be seen wearing a short tank top and a matching white headband, as well as a flannel shirt and short shorts while he’s surrounded by takeout meals.

‘This is what an updated Home Alone would actually look like,’ he wrote in the caption.

In a second tweet, he also added: ‘Hey @Disney, call me!’

Earlier this week, ET reported that the new version of Home Alone is set to premiere on Disney+, the company’s upcoming streaming service.

Disney head Bob Iger confirmed the news during Walt Disney Company’s earnings call.

While he did not give any details such as the cast or plot, Iger did mention that it will be targeting the new generation.

The actor’s younger brother, Kieran, previously told ET that they and their loved ones would watch Home Alone every Christmas as well, just like every other family!‘It was a movie for us too growing up, which is funny.

You would think that because he was in it and it was such a big thing that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy it like a Christmas movie.

But over the years we have been able to. Yeah, we watch it!’
