Couple Transforms Dull Flat into Bright and Stylish Home with DIY Renovation

A married couple with two children had long dreamed of a beautiful home tailored to their needs🥺 Faced with the reality of the property market and their budget, they opted for a creative solution: purchasing a flat in an old building and completely redecorating it.👍🤗 Check what their flat looked like before the renovation in this article👇

Determined to infuse their new home with personality, they took on the design and renovation themselves, pouring their heart into every detail. For some complex tasks, like replacing pipes, windows, and electrical work, they sought professional help.

The flat, a modest 46.6 square meters, was transformed into a cozy and stylish living space.

Entrance Hall

The journey began in the entrance hall, which was transformed beyond recognition. Compact yet functional, it now serves as a welcoming lobby for guests. A wardrobe crafted by the husband and a stylish stool restored by the wife add unique charm to the hallway.

Kitchen and Living Room

By redesigning the kitchen and living room, the couple created a spacious and bright area where each element has its own special place. A corner unit with snow-white fronts, a contrasting backsplash of white tiles, and a yellow refrigerator (actually white but covered with yellow film) create a distinctive interior style. The combined kitchen and living room became the perfect space for family gatherings and relaxation. A working corner with an Ikea chest of drawers, a yellow sofa, and a TV zone add to the cozy atmosphere.

Bedroom

The bedroom was cleverly divided into two zones. A wooden partition, designed like a fence, separates the adult bedroom from the children’s room, creating functional and private spaces for everyone.

Bathroom

The bathroom was also transformed, becoming a stylish, comfortable, and functional space.

The couple’s renovation has resulted in a bright, stylish, and cozy flat. What do you think of the final result? What aspects did you like, and what could have been done differently? We found the decision to create a fence-like partition between the bedroom and the children’s room quite unique.
