Anson Williams finally finds true love in his 70s – their sweet love story

Last spring, Anson Williams embarked on a new chapter of his life by marrying memoirist Sharon MaHarry, a testament to love that began to bloom in his 70s.

At 74, Williams remains best known for his portrayal of the kind-hearted Warren “Potsie” Weber on the iconic TV show Happy Days, a role that earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination.

Reflecting on the journey that led him to Sharon, Williams acknowledged the twists and turns of fate that brought them together, including several divorces, per Daily Mail.

“I bought my Ojai house almost 14 years ago, and at the time, Sharon was in real estate and sold it to me and my wife at the time,” Williams shared. “Years later, when I was divorced and ended up with the Ojai house, she never left my mind.”

Their paths crossed again during challenging periods in their lives. Sharon had been married for 35 years before her husband’s illness and passing left her feeling lost. Williams, too, experienced the pain of divorce and battled loneliness compounded by a previous bout with cancer.

“It was like a gift from God that I met him,” Sharon told Entertainment Weekly, describing how Williams brought light into her life during a dark period. Similarly, Williams recalled reaching out to Sharon for lunch, unaware of her recent struggles.

Their three-hour lunch became a transformative moment, despite Sharon’s recent injury that had left her in a wheelchair just days prior.

“Our relationship was giving and caring,” Williams reflected, emphasizing the deep connection they shared from the outset.

Their journey resulted in a heartfelt ceremony on May 6, 2023, with Williams’ close friend and Happy Days co-star Danny Most serving as best man. Through it all, Williams hopes their story serves as a reminder that love knows no age limits.

“There’s no age limit on being loved. There’s no age limit on living life fully,” Williams said, embracing this new chapter with Sharon by his side.
